Do we have to replace existing equipment?

Not necessarily. We first assess supported interfaces and retrofit options. Whether equipment can stay depends on its condition, access, safety requirements and the signals needed.

Local processing and buffered data can be designed where the use case requires them. The retention window, sync behaviour and degraded operating mode are agreed during architecture design.

What is a useful first IoT pilot?
